Bruce Jenner says he's going to be all right in the latest promotional clip for Diane Sawyer's TV interview with the former U.S. Olympic champion and reality TV star.

Sawyer's highly publicized conversation, which airs tonight on ABC's 20/20 from 9-11 p.m. ET, is expected to include a revelation from the 65-year-old that he is transitioning into a female.

"I feel like I'm going to be OK," Jenner says in the excerpt which aired this morning on Good Morning America.

"2015 is going to be quite a ride," he says smiling. "Quite a ride."

ABC's 'respectful' handling

ABC's handling of the story so far has been respectful, Nick Adams, program director of transgender media for GLAAD, told The Associated Press. The organization that represents gays, lesbians and transgenders has spoken little about Jenner.

"Sharing one's story is something a person should be allowed to do in their own time and in their own way," Adams said.

But media speculation about a public figure's gender identity increases harmful scrutiny on other transgender people, he warned.

"It's going to be an emotional roller-coaster," Jenner says in an an earlier promo, expressing his trepidation. "But somehow, I'm going get through it."

Interview conducted before crash

Sawyer conducted the interview before Jenner was involved in an auto accident in which another motorist was killed.

Fatal Crash-Malibu

ABC is expected to address the topic, although the timing precludes it from being raised with Jenner.

Police said video showed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star triggering the chain-reaction crash on a Malibu, Calif., highway on Feb. 7, killing a 69-year-old woman.

Jenner passed a field sobriety test and also submitted a blood sample to determine if he was intoxicated.

He hasn't been charged with any offence in relation to the crash.

Kim Kardashian's stepdad

Some of Jenner's children, pictured in one of the promos, are also expected to be interviewed.

Jenner is best known for being the father of reality stars Kendall and Kylie Jenner and stepfather to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian. He is estranged from his wife of more than 20 years, Kris Jenner, who was formerly married to the late Robert Kardashian, who was part of O.J. Simpson's dream team of lawyers.

He was married twice previously and has four children from those unions — Casey, Burt, Brandon and Brody Jenner.

It's not clear which family members will appear in tonight's show.

"This is a family love story," said Sawyer, who conducted several long conversations with Jenner and his family over several days.

Brad Bessey, the executive producer of Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, predicts big ratings for the two-hour special.

"I think people will be watching," Bessey said. "I hope they'll be listening."
