Canada has advanced to the gold medal game at the world junior championship after defeating Slovakia 5-1 in the semifinals on Sunday.
Canada will play Russia, which beat Sweden in the other semifinal match 4-1 to book its spot in the championship game.
Slovakia will face Sweden for bronze.
