RCMP in Kamloops, B.C., are searching for a suspect after a police officer was shot early this morning.
Police say when the officer stopped a vehicle early Wednesday morning, there was an exchange of gunfire and the officer was hit.
The officer was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and is currently undergoing surgery.
Police are now looking for a 1998 white Chrysler Intrepid and warn the people in the car are considered armed and dangerous.
